The goal of the Quarter Million Steps Challenge is to help participants reach 250,000 total steps over 4 weeks. This averages out to roughly 10,000 steps per day, encouraging consistent daily movement throughout the challenge.
Yes. Offering prizes is optional but highly recommended to increase participation and encourage employees to stay engaged throughout the challenge. Common options include gift cards, extra PTO, company swag, or recognition for participants who reach the goal or finish at the top of the leaderboard.
Participants are ranked by total points earned throughout the challenge. Since each eligible step earns 1 point, the winner is determined by the highest total point count at the end of the challenge.
Employees can typically join within a short grace period after the challenge begins. After that, admins can work with the IncentFit team to add participants if needed.
Administrative work is minimal. Once the challenge is set up, IncentFit handles tracking, scoring, leaderboards, and reporting so admins do not have to manually manage daily progress.
